Summer Plans

As these summer months begin, and the weather warms up slowly but surely, we at Atlas Soundtrack start thawing our bones, and begin gearing up for some pretty awesome local shows.

First up is Saturday May 28 @ CAFE 210, all night from 10pm-2am. We love playing Cafe for many reasons, mainly ‘cuz the crowd always gets into the music, and the stage is pretty badass as well. Its going to be a great show! Its memorial day weekend, so the bust out the grills during the day, and come rock out with Atlas and some brews at night!

Next on the list is State College’s Summers Best Music Fest on June 25th, which is a one-day festival consisting of 3 stages on 3 streets in downtown State College. We’ve participated in it the last 2 years, and have ALWAYS had a great time! We will be on the Hesiter Street stage at 3 pm, and for more info concerning other bands/times check out https://www.facebook.com/sbmf.dsc?sk=wall. COME SUPPORT LOCAL MUSIC!!!

The next local gig we got is Sunday July 17th @ 1 pm on the mainstage at the Shell on Old Maine Lawn. The Date/location sound familiar? Well it should, ‘cuz its ARTS FEST 2011! Growing up here, every year we always made sure we got up to Old Maine lawn to catch all the great bands, like the Earthtones for example. For years going to see the music up there has been a tradition, and now it is almost surreal that we will be on that stage playing to all the people, kids and families, and music lovers alike. PUMPED! Come out and show love!

Well, that’s it for now as far as our local shows between now and August. Of course we will keep everybody updated on any gigs we book from now ’til then, and most likely there will be a grip of them. BUT, it should be mentioned that we are starting to branch out from our womb here and are starting to hit the road. The rest of 2011 should be stoke full of out of town gigs, and as of right now we will be in Harrisburg at the Appalachian Brewing Company, a.k.a. ABC, on May 31st opening for a nine-piece funk band out of L.A. called ORGONE. If you haven’t hit up ABC, do it! They have amazing beer, and always great music on stage. Also, we will be playing The Boondocks Club outside of Harrisburg in York Haven on June 17th, from 7PM-11PM. We’re pumped to be playing H-Burg, and plan on being there at least once a month from here on out!

Also people, we are playing two 3-days festivals in upstate New York. The first one is Overgrown Music Festival Aug. 5-7 in Afton New York. We played this one last year and let me tell you, the music, the people, the CHICKEN!!!, and the whole vibe was amazing. New location this year, but we guarantee its going to be epic! For more info check out http://www.overgrown.us/. The second one, KIND FEST 2011, will be the following weekend, Aug. 12-14 in Bainbridge New York. There’s going to be a lot of amazing bands from the upstate area, and from all over the country, so do yourself a favor and come! For more info check out http://kindfest2011.eventbrite.com/.

ALRIGHT! ENOUGH ALREADY, your eyes are tired, and you need to get back to some FB-stalking, or craigslist-surfing, or maybe simply getting off the computer and getting some air outside….hmmm, might take our own advice! Anyways, thanks for tunin’ in and always stay posted for more news, new tunes, and good vibrations from State College’s own bringers of ALL ORIGINAL HIP-HOP REGGAE ROCK, Atlas Soundtrack.
